Matrix Renewables recognized as “great place to work”
97% of employees believe Matrix Renewables to be an excellent place to work The company´s HR policies focus on employee wellbeing, both from a professional and personal point of view
December 23, 2022, MADRID, Spain – Matrix Renewables (“Matrix”), the TPG Rise-backed global renewable energy platform, has been awarded the Great Place to Work certificate after being evaluated by its own employees through the independent tool, Trust Index. This recognition validates the company’s position as a high-quality employer, joining other prestigious organizations to have received the award.
Trust Index is a survey that determines the levels of trust that employees hold towards their place of work. It analyzes their perception in five different dimensions: credibility, impartialness, pride, respect, and camaraderie. The results show that 97% of employees think that Matrix is an excellent place to work (in comparison with an 84% industry average). 90% asserts that they are able to dedicate time at work for personal affairs when needed; with another 90% admitting that their superiors trust they perform well without the need of constant supervision; 100% of workers declared they were treated well regardless of their position and 97% felt proud to be part of Matrix.
The company itself attributes these results to the excellent work environment and camaraderie present at Matrix, in addition to transparency in the communication of all information and company strategies, as well as various measures in the HR field. This includes flexible schedules, that allow each employee to attend personal business without the need for justification, provided they can continue to carry out professional assignments and reach deadlines in the workplace; or remote work policies, that allow employees to choose whether to work from home or the office on many weekdays, even implementing a full remote working month over the summer.
They also highlight the importance given to individuals within each department, who demonstrate concern over the well-being of each teammate individually. Moreover, the HR Department hosts individual meetings with each employee every 2-3 months with the objective of ensuring they are happy, finding room for improvement, and identifying and solving any problems that may cause discomfort early on.
“My door, as well as those of the entire managementteam, is always open.” says Caro Chapatte, Chief of Staff, Matrix Renewables. “When hiring, we look for candidates that, apart from being great professionals are, above all, good people with an excellent attitude towards life. This is something we notice every day. This way, we have managed to achieve a great working environment with excellent cooperation between the teams.”
After the results were published, Luis Sabaté, President and COO at Matrix said: “We are proudto see how our commitment to our employees is recognized by prestigious organizations in the field of HR such as Great Place to Work. At Matrix, we firmly believe that our team is our greatest investment, and we are certain that we have the best in the sector. That’s why we continue our work to offer the best conditions and attract the best talent.”
Matrix Renewables has 40 employees at its offices in Madrid and 70 globally, a number that grows exponentially. Next month the company is planning to transfer to a new location in the prestigious Salamanca area of Madrid, where new facilities have been designed to allow for the total comfort of its staff, which includes sofas for informal meetings and sufficient distance between workstations to allow for personal space.
Matrix has a portfolio of 9.4 GW in generation and storage projects of renewable energy in Europe, North America, and Latin America.
