The Role
At Matrix Renewables we are looking for a highly motivated individual to play a role in our Operations team.
Based in Madrid, the Technical Storage Associate must be familiar with the modeling, development, construction, and operation and maintenance of energy storage projects. The candidate will collaborate with in-house and external teams to support project acquisition processes for MATRIX portfolio and to support in-house greenfield development energy storage projects. This role will report to the Innovation & Technology Sr. Manager.
Key activities and responsibilities:
• Analyse energy storage solutions for MATRIX portfolio from an economic and technical perspective.
• Modelling the sizing and operation of different energy storage technologies at technical level
• Support Business Development and operations activities to maximise company revenues using storage solutions when applicable.
• Been up to date to latest storage, hydrogen and hybrid technologies. Cost, efficiency, technical parameters, operational ranges, applications per markets, etc.
• Understand market regulations around the world for storage and hybrid solutions. Being able of providing with economics and performance inputs to other business units.
• Provide design parameters for storage solutions for decision making.
• Develop relationship with stakeholders related with storage, hydrogen, equipment suppliers, technical consultant, etc.
Skills/Competencies:
• At least 3-4 years of relevant experience in the field of energy storage technologies, integrated with renewable energies and stand alone.

• Understanding of power generation market and the associated challenges, from the generation and the demand side
• Understanding of the development process for renewable energy, energy storage and green hydrogen projects
• Excellent communication and team building skills are required
• Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage diverse stakeholders.
